UW–Madison is partnering with American Councils for International Education to facilitate a capacity building/training experience focused on administrative improvement for teams from six selected Kazakhstan universities on university governance and finance. The project-based learning experience will revolve around two workshops in 2023 and 2024, where UW and Kazakhstani UW teams will meet to brainstorm about their pilot projects (2023) and then also share out outcomes and learnings (2024), as well as ongoing project implementation and coaching. The six Kazakhstani universities participating in this project include:
- Ualikhanov University (Kokshetau)
- Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after Seifullin (Astana)
- Pavolodar State University (Pavlodar)
- East Kazakhstan Technical University (Oskemen)
- Yessenov University (Aktau)
- Satbayev University (Almaty)
The UW team, led by Faculty Advisor Professor Karen Evans-Romaine, can be found on the IPO team page.
